Moving data across the temporal boundaries of your budget.
Standard date pickers are locked to the current month to prevent "choice overload" and accidental drift. However, reality is messy. Relocation exists specifically for Import Errors or items added to the wrong month that are too detailed to simply delete and re-type.
By separating "Relocation" from the standard item editor, we preserve the Single Month Focus. This ensures that 99% of your workflow remains fast and targeted, while the 1% of mistakes have a dedicated path for correction.
The move command is intentionally tucked away in the Ellipsis Menu (...) of any Transaction or Snapshot item. Look for the "Move to Different Month" option.
When you move a Snapshot item, the system automatically forces the date to the 1st of the new month. No manual date-entry required—the system handles the alignment.
Uploaded a CSV into the wrong month? Don't re-upload. Simply relocate the records to the correct period to preserve your categorization work.
Once a move is confirmed, the item is instantly removed from your current view and re-indexed in the target month's ledger.
