Unlike spreadsheets that are constantly in flux, Cashamole uses Snapshots to "lock" your performance at the end of a month.
The engine automatically normalizes all incoming snapshot dates to the 1st of the month. If you upload 2026-02-14, the system stores it as 2026-02-01. This prevents duplicate snapshots for the same period.
Locking a month prevents accidental edits to historic data, ensuring your "Year to Date" reports remain accurate.
By having distinct snapshots, you can compare your "Planned" vs "Actual" intent across different periods without noise.
